InfoTV TIZEN player install guide

The guide down below is for Samsung SSSP 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 – Tizen 2.4, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 6.5


You are in the right spot if you want to create your Digital Signage player based on Tizen using the InfoTV software.


Keep in mind, though, that this process requires some basic IT skill


Prerequisites & Compatibility

The Compatibility list for Tizen devices is based on the firmware version. A full list of supported firmware versions can be found at the bottom of this guide.


Check the firmware version of any device to check if your device is compatible with the InfoTV Tizen Software.


  • Navigate to Menu -> Support -> Contact Samsung.

  • Check the line Software version and compare the value with our table of supported firmware for your model. We have listed alle the models that are supported at the bottom of this guide.. 




Get the registration code


Go to Settings → System → Play Via → Select Custom App


Go to Home → App Management → Select Install Custom App

Fill in this URL https://packages.dsbackend.com/tizen (where we host the application) and Confirm.

Portrait Mode

In case your TV is in Portrait Mode, use the InfoTV Tizen Portrait URL instead

When the installation is completed, a new option in the home menu will be created.


Go to Home → Launch signageoslandscape Custom App


After doing that, a 9-digital reg code will appear on the screen.




Samsung SSSP / Tizen Supported Devices


Intro


The list of supported devices below includes information about the status/compatibility of the InfoTV App and the specific model.


General Support means that our InfoTV Software supports the version of the Platform the device is using (like Tizen 2.4 or Android 4.4) and can be used.


A Certified model means that our InfoTV  Software was successfully tested with described FW version and passed all tests. Usually, at least a few hundred such devices are deployed live.
